PUBLIC READINGS Called “Proving Grounds Theatre”, Colorado Dramatists present Public Readings of members' new plays on an "as-needed" basis (often once a month in several Metro area locations). The rehearsed scripts are read by professional actors and the performance is followed by a moderated, lively discussion.  We publicize these free readings through newspaper listings, mailings, newsletter, and our website. Aside from arranging performance space for the public readings and assisting with performances, Colorado Dramatists also arrange rehearsal space and can provide the playwright with a list of actors and directors. Our Public Readings provide an invaluable opportunity for playwrights to rehearse, hear, and revise their work before it reaches production.
